Blundering is a small, free hobby project that turns your questions into short courses. This page explains what it stores about you and why. In short: only what it needs to teach you, never sold, never used for ads, and deletable by you at any time.
1. What we store
- Your Google account basics: your name, email address and profile photo, from signing in with Google. We never see your Google password.
- What you learn: the questions you ask, the courses, lessons and quizzes written for you, the tutor you chose, your quiz answers, progress, review schedule, starred ideas and streak.
- Learning preferences, if you give them: why you're learning, what helps you learn, and anything you tell us about yourself.
- Usage counters: how many requests you've made recently, to keep the service fair and protect it from abuse. These are deleted after two days.
Messages to the tutor are sent to the AI to write a reply but are not saved. We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
2. Small things stored in your browser
A sign-in cookie (so you stay signed in), your time zone (so streaks and daily reviews follow your day), and a few display settings: light or dark theme, a collapsed sidebar, and whether today's review reminder has been shown. None of these track you across other sites.
3. Who else handles your data
Blundering relies on a few services to run. Each only gets what it needs:
- Supabase stores the data above and handles sign-in.
- Google signs you in.
- An AI provider (Google Gemini or Anthropic Claude) receives your questions, learning preferences, the lesson in front of you and your tutor messages, to write courses, lessons, quizzes and replies.
- Vercel hosts the website.
We never sell your data or share it with anyone else, except where the law requires it.
4. How long we keep it, and deleting it
Your data stays until you delete it. You can delete any course from its menu in the sidebar, or delete your whole account from your profile, which permanently removes everything above. Copies in our private backups disappear within 14 days.
5. Children
Blundering isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
6. Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the date at the top will change too. Questions, or want a copy of your data? Email 9087pranav@gmail.com.
